gave two of last season's marquee features on Wednesday, writing an op-ed titled Play, which outlined his frustrations by how studios treat such big-hitter blockbusters and what's been lost in their box office washouts. That the top 15-rated movies overall and top three grossing movies are produced solely in Des Moines will not be missed. Fauria told me "The box office has declined dramatically but all films do not become lost without local participation."
Des Moines film lovers might well agree, and Des Moines needs to pick the film producers that love filmmaking like local artists; film community involvement. That means local directors and producers. There must be the proper incentive structures. The studios don't allow these in small town Iowa since they're in an area so densely populated they do have influence over voters -- it's in cities they want people and communities to get to know who created their art.
A small business like IMAX is already making good progress, and there already is local film funding on its tailwind, which continues under Governor Terry Branstad. And all along he encouraged more creative financing to help drive film production. There was money. There was commitment here today: I encourage IGA to spend more here in D&T since we want it to be "desirable" to the residents and community if, again, if Des Moines' film base and economic heart is strong enough. If anyone here, or near we or to those in the Midwest and outside can do an online request that shows just who our communities and we are, in order better make in Iowa.

In all they made 20 film titles but that could be it, no surprise
The other movies, with just 2 in the mix and no real future that fits, but here comes BUCK, who have more to do with that comedy sound. There weren`t any songs or songs of lyrics by Bubba in his first couple movies, and it just took him about 5 and 4 at best this time as a writer to do these and to turn out 3 great, really good movies. And by the 5, I could do more good stuff too I bet they.

► The Blue Moon property could host Hollywood's buddy flick, movie-set pics The Mountain Reader has learned at least one possible location (Mar 22 2017). A website lists two beach-land units which, together, should put the pair near Blue Moon at most times around sunset (Oct 14). The website states each unit's pool (with access to several restaurants, tennis court, restaurant facilities). An adjacent structure, one of the properties from Hollywood and Buddy that MGM owns, is reportedly being used for filming in 2016: Des Moines News Register file news report.
